Keith Crownover,
President
After relocating to the Boise Area in 2003, following 37 years of public school in California as an educator, I feel most fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with both my daughters, Joy and Amy, in the public schools in Meridian, Idaho, and subsequently in our agency. The establishment of A New Leaf, as a family owned and operated agency, is fulfilling a dream of our family, to create and develop an institution that would provide quality caring services to the participants and families to our surrounding communities. Our agency has been blessed to have so many employees who are committed to making a difference in the lives of the participants to whom we are able to offer services. My ”retirement“ continues to be ”pushed out“, as I am having such a rewarding time seeking to provide the best environment and services for the special needs population of Treasure Valley. It is our mission and commitment to provide high standards and ethics in the services we provide and to our employees.

Amy Wright,
Administrator
I have been blessed with working in the Human Services field for the past 12 years. It has been very exciting starting our agency and venturing into a new part of the field. Our staff, families, and participants have contributed to such a positive environment, they truly make up the success of this agency. I reside in Meridian with my husband and two children. I enjoy spending time with my family just "hanging-out", watching movies, and catching Sonic during "happy hour"!

Jan McDonald,
Office Assistant
Some 35 years ago I began teaching preschool, all of this progressed to exploring a lot of creativity, over the years I developed administrative skills and expanded my love of working with the public. My husband and I have 2 sons and a daughter, with our first grandbaby on the way, of course our 2 ShihTzu's rule our home. After spending our honeymoon in Sun Valley at Christmas time 30+ years ago, our goal was to someday return to Idaho forever. Our family spent many winters and summers in the Ketchum and Stanley Basin area enjoying the gorgeous scenery and all the outdoor activities. In 2007 we decided to leave the southern California rat race and move to Boise. I feel very blessed to have landed at this family owned business, A NEW LEAF, which allows me to work as an office assistant, to be creative, and to work with a lot of fabulous staff, kids, and adults.

John Cameron,
Information Technology Administrator
I've been making computers behave for over 16 years. Some of my jobs have required travel to most of the western and mid-western states; I hope to see the rest of the country one day and also travel overseas. I am married to Joy (who also wants to travel) and we have 3 kids. We recently moved to a house in Meridian which has 3 acres and a barn. We've never had acreage before so we are having fun trying to raise some farm animals, like our 3 dwarf Nigerian goats. Our son Cody has Asperger's Syndrome so he loves to explore the property, collecting bugs and spiders!

Emily Wise, IBI Coordinator
I was born and raised here in Idaho and am now living out in Kuna with my husband and our three dogs. I graduated from BSU in 2005 with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a minor in English. I’ve been working with kids with disabilities for almost five years now and turned my focus to Intensive Behavioral Intervention therapy in the beginning of 2006. Prior to entering this field I worked in daycares and preschools as both the assistant and head teacher. I really enjoy working with all ages of children and have found that working with children with disabilities is both challenging and greatly rewarding.

I began in this field 5 years ago as a residential habilitation staff. I provided staffing for two wonderful ladies for 3 years. We enjoyed so many activities including attending concerts, Boise State football games, and two trips to Tamarack Resort. Upon graduation in 2006, I decided to continue working with the developmentally disabled community and became a Training Specialist. In 2007 I took the Developmental Specialist test and have continued in that position since. I am looking forward to beginning my Master’s degree next year.

Cheryl Gibson, Service Coordinator
I have been married for 26 years to Bud. We have a grown daughter, Bridgette that is 24. We also have our special
surprise - Max who is 10 years old. Max was diagnosed with Autism (PDD NOS) when he was 4 1/2. In my spare time I enjoy working in the yard planting flowers. I enjoy
weekends away up at our family cabin. I love to decorate and change things up at each change of season. I also love cooking for my family and friends. I began Service Coordination in November of 2004. It has been such a great experience. I have met wonderful families that I never would have met otherwise. I enjoy helping people and I get such joy observing my clients and seeing the great progress the children make.
My case load is currently full.

Laura McCosh, Service Coordinator
I have been a service coordinator for 3 years. I started working for A New Leaf in the spring of 2007 and am very happy to be part of their team.
I attended Ricks College in eastern Idaho as a Music Major with an emphasis in Music Therapy. I graduated with an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts and plan to continue my education in the next few years. I have taught private piano lessons and have assisted with fundraising efforts for a local non-profit organization.
I currently live in Boise and have been here for the last 8 years with my husband, Bryce and our 3 boys. They are the joy of my life. I love to sing, tap dance, and play the piano. I enjoy community theatre, reading, and the outdoors.
Because of my own personal journey, I feel very passionate about service coordination. My oldest son was diagnosed with Aspergers about 4 years ago. Because I have been through the process myself, I have a great desire to help families access the best supports and services that are available to them. I know there are many children with varying abilities and I want to help provide what is best for both the child and the family.
I am currently taking new clients.

Cheryl Botting-Hammack, Service Coordinator
I am originally from Hartford, Connecticut but grew up and attended school in southern Oregon. I have my Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon Institute of Technology in psychology as well as my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. I have been involved in the developmental disability field most of my life. My mom ran a group home with up to 30 participants in Connecticut and then when we moved to Oregon she provided foster care for a multitude of children. I learned my patience and understanding from her (probably two of my most valuable assets). I married almost 17 years ago and we have one son who is 13 years old. Our family relocated to the Boise area from Oregon just a little over 3 years ago and have enjoyed everything the Treasure Valley has to offer. I have a wide variety of experiences in the field that include teaching preschool through first grade for children with developmental disabilities, working with individuals with mental health diagnoses to currently working as a service coordinator and an IBI therapist. I enjoy the challenge and constant change that the field provides for me to learn and grow. I feel that being a service coordinator is important as it is the foundation to helping families find and establish services for their family members. In my spare time I attend Tae Kwon Do with my son, (who is a second Dan Black Belt while I am a green belt trying to catch up), reading, playing the violin and trying to be outside as much as possible. I love to garden to keep me grounded and like to get out camping with my family, which does not happen enough. I have a full case load load at the moment so I'm not able to accept new clients.

Melissa Bilyeu, Service Coordinator
Children are my life. I always knew I wanted to work with children and majored in Pre-Med/Biology at Boise State with hopes of one day becoming a Pediatrician. After spending a week in the hospital with each of my two children after they were born due to small complications, I decided that working in a hospital someday for an internship wasn’t something I wanted to do. That is when I began to pursue Service Coordination. Being a Service Coordinator is a perfect career in my life. I get to help children and their families while also raising my own family. I was raised in the Seattle area and moved to Boise in 2001 to attend Boise State University. I love Boise and I think it’s such a wonderful place to raise children. I am extremely blessed to be a part of the team here at A New Leaf. We strive for excellence and seek to provide the best possible services as a Developmental Disabilities Agency. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions you may have about Service Coordination or if you want to know if it may benefit your family.

Ronda Hunsaker, Service Coordinator
I was born and raised here in Idaho and am now living out in Emmett with my husband. We have three grown kids and 2 awesome grandsons. We recently adopted a newborn son, so we are starting all over and loving every minute of it. I’ve been working with kids from the foster care system for over six years now. I have mainly focused on helping kids to find the sources that they need to succeed as they are aging out of the system. I really enjoy working with children and have found that helping them to grow and realize their dreams is greatly rewarding.
